New photo toy available from MS

January 11, 2009 Check PhotoZoom out, which would have a much hipper name if it weren't made by MS. You'll probably have to download and install SilverLight from MS first, to view it. When you get there, click on a picture and scroll your mouse wheel back and forth. Neat, eh? I'm sure it would be far neater if I uploaded 1000 pictures. Too bad they're probably not going to roll it out into a desktop or OS feature any time soon (although Windows 7 might use it eventually).

A similar thing is PhotoSynth, which also needs a download to work. But it's neat as well. They're both basically plugins to IE.

Site redesign

January 3, 2009 Rejigged the stylesheet, learned that CSS 2 hadn't changed significantly in the past 3 years, still not going to learn Flash or Javascript programming, and still not updating it as quickly as I should be. Maybe I'll begin to offload stuff into the cloud, like to my totally dormant blogger site, Notes and Observations.

A hernia hurts

March 11, 2005 I’ve posted a short description of my recent week spent recuperating from hernia surgery. Don't worry, I didn't take any pictures although I do regret not taking a “before”—oh well).
